Quick post before my last class, because if I don't do it now, I might never get around to it, and then people might not ever know what I'm up to...since the world revolves around me and all.
In short, this week has been one gigantic (mostly pain-in-the-ass) learning experience. There were the cool parts, like when I took out my first IV withouth the poor lady bleeding everywhere, or when I hung my first bag of saline, changed my first chemotherapy port dressing...oh, and finding out what the new Harry Potter movie was like until 3:00 this morning--that was pretty cool, too. But the other stuff...such as discovering that no studying equals bad midterm grade for Anna or that getting about 4 hours of sleep two nights in a row equals a level of consciousness relatively equal to a coma victim on Valium...yeah, that I could have skipped. But I'm still in one piece, and smarter in some weird, convoluted way.
In happier news, the bulk of my work is over now. All I have to do is cram all of my Thanksgiving studying into Saturday so that, when Rosa shows up on Sunday, she won't have to spend the majority of her time here observing the joys of a ridiculous workload. Oh, and speaking of which, if anyone is up for any fun and excitement this Sunday through next Saturday, I'm going to go out on a limb and say both said sister and myself are definitley game. Suggestions welcome.
